Research exchange in Australia

I am a faculty member at the IIIEE at Lund University in Sweden. I will undertake a research exchange (from Nov 17 to Jan 11) at the Australian Center for Science, Innovation and Society (ACSIS) at Melbourne University in Australia as part of ENVERA.

ENVERA is a partnership between the MESPOM Consortium and eight other institutions of higher education in six countries supported by an Erasmus Mundus Action 3 grant from the European Commission.

The grant includes mobility support for students from the EU to conduct their thesis research in the ENVERA partner institutions and for faculty to undertake teaching and research at these institutions.

My background is in political science and environmental science. I wrote my PhD thesis on bioenergy systems and socio-political issues. I work mostly with energy policy, particularly renewable energy. I am the co-ordinator for the online distance education course run by the IIIEE on environmental science in our other Masters Programme.

If you are interested in visiting Australia and want to do your thesis there, let me know (kes.mccormick@iiiee.lu.se). I can discuss topics with you and put you in contact with the staff at Melbourne University.
