This page was conceived by an IIIEE Alumni who asked whether there is a place that could list websites useful to help us reduce our day-to-day impact on the Earth (clothes, cleaners, cosmetics, power tools, cars, etc.) and that support the health and welfare of people and all of those that we share our lives with (Heifer.org, ehnca.org, kiva.org, etc.) [... and ...] to help each other stay out of the media’s black hole?

I personally prefer the old banner. I think the color and font was better, and this new one takes quite long to load - some people with slow internet connection might have problems opening the website. Marta

An automotive marketing company made a startling claim in a study released earlier this year: the Hummer H3 and other SUVs have a lower life-cycle energy cost than the Toyota Prius and other hybrids.
