Students successfully fulfilling all the requirements are awarded Master’s of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management. The MESPOM degree is a valid national degree in Sweden and the UK. The CEU degree is recognized but not accredited in Hungary as yet. In the meantime, the degree of CEU is validated by the University of Manchester. In addition, it is registered in the USA by the New York State Board of University Regents and, therefore, is a valid Master of Science degree in the United States. The fourth MESPOM consortium member, the University of Aegean, currently is not a degree granting institution. However, in the near future we plan to initiate the granting of the UoA degrees.

The MESPOM degree is a joint degree with three degree certificates. Practically it means that MESPOM graduates receive three degree certificates (from the University of Lund, University of Manchester and Central European University) cross-referring to each other as well as a set of joint degree award documents.
